Springsure is a picturesque country town in the Bowen Basin & Central Highlands region of Queensland.

Dooleys Springsure is a  324 km drive northwest of Rockhampton via the Capricorn and Gregory Highways or 335 kilometres north of Roma.

 

About 71 kilometres south of Dooleys Springsure is the tiny township of Rolleston, which is the best access point to the remarkable Carnarvon Gorge National Park. The route from Rolleston to the park is 110 kilometres.  The last 20 kilometres is sealed road and generally in very good condition but worth checking how it is after heavy rain.

 

Virgin, Alliance and Qantas fly to Emerald airport, which is an easy 45-minute (67 km) drive from Dooleys Springsure.
